Project Overview
Grand Canyon University’s Worship Arts Program creates a set of worship songs promoted yearly. The group of students, the Grand Collective, is holding a concert in the GCU Arena to promote their album Fully Known for the GCU worship arts program. GCU’s Worship Arts program would like a responsive website promoting the concert and that the proceeds support their charity Blood:Water mission.

Problem

Solution

Creating anticipating for an album can be challenging. The problem we face is to highlight our school's artist and their songs in a way that is both visually cohesive with the album artwork, but also tells the story of the Grand Collective. Making it easy to listen to the album, find lyrics, and grab tickets for the upcoming release concert will be a top priority.
Create a landing page that revolves around the album artwork and theme that translate a creative and open and airy feeling of the album, while conveying the information necessary like the musicians, charity, and event location.

Design process

Research

The research phase of this project was a fairly fun process, I started off by looking at the interviews that we're conducted before the release of the album, when building a unique album landing page it often is tied to the artistic expression of the artist and the direction of the design will greatly be dictated by the tone of the music and visuals of the album artwork.  

Insight

This gave me a good reference point for developing the landing page, I had a clear idea of who this website was going to reach as well as staying away from cliche's that may dull the impact of the album, by presenting it in a more artistic and abstract way it appeals to a wider audience and does the artistic direction of the album to be translated well..

Wireframes

I wanted to work on iterations this project, I planned to do three separate wireframes and then mesh the design into one from each section that I like.
After some user testing and design critique I ended up merging design 1 Listen section with most of design 3. I also made some additions to the include all the album artwork that was created for the release. As well as changing the footer to be more sleek by moving the socials close to the socket and adding more leading to each section.
